Chicago does not lack for engaging jazz trumpeters, vocalists, pianists, bandleaders, songwriters and arrangers — but how many can do it all?Jeannie Tanner happens to be one…”  – Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune
It’s been 80 years since the release of the Wizard of Oz and yet, many people still do not know the name, Harold Arlen – one of the most important composers of the Great American Songbook. In an attempt to answer the question, “who is Harold Arlen,” Ms. Tanner’s quartet will be performing many of his hits including “Stormy Weather,” “Get Happy,” “That Old Black Magic,” “Let’s Fall in Love,” “I’ve Got the World on a String” and of course, “Over the Rainbow.” Ms. Tanner will be performing a few of her original songs written for this show and she is excited to have a guest appearance by Entertainer, Producer, Director and Chicago Cabaret Impresario — Daryl Nitz! For more info, visit: http://jeannietanner.com
“…Tanner’s tribute to Arlen reminds us that the art of tautly conceived songwriting has not yet vanished.” – Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune
